On November 15, 2008, the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation will host our First Annual Gala fundraiser.  Hosted at Hillcrest Country Club, this formal event will feature dinner, live music, dancing and a silent auction.  Our Master of Ceremonies for the evening is John Gordon, Indiana University graduate and Major League Baseball radio announcer for the Minnesota Twins.

The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation was formed and is run by volunteers who are motivated solely by their love and respect for great teachers and the students they inspire.  It is through providing funds to hard-working, dedicated teachers that we are able to enrich the educational experience of the students in our community. We share the same goal with all Mt. Vernon educators; to help each child reach his or her greatest potential.  MVEF is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation therefore all donations made to the foundation are tax-deductible.
